Our “Whitening for Life” program is designed for patients that are committed to overall proper dental health.
Your custom whitening system will include 6 initial bleaching tubes. Refills of bleaching tubes will be given at a rate of one tube every six months. Lost or damaged bleaching trays are the responsibility of the patient.
Professional teeth whitening uses a clinically tested bleaching gel that safely penetrates the enamel to break down deep stains caused by food, beverages, smoking, and natural aging. The whitening agents target discoloration without harming healthy tooth structure. Treatment is customized to your smile, helping achieve brighter, more even results than over-the-counter products while protecting your teeth and gums throughout the process.
Teeth whitening results can last anywhere from several months to a few years depending on your diet, oral hygiene habits, and lifestyle choices. Drinking coffee, tea, wine, or using tobacco can cause stains to return sooner. Maintaining good brushing habits, regular dental cleanings, and occasional touch-up whitening can help preserve your brighter smile longer.
Yes. When performed or supervised by a dental professional, teeth whitening is safe for both your teeth and gums. Professional treatments use carefully controlled whitening agents designed to protect enamel while minimizing irritation. Your dentist evaluates your oral health before treatment to ensure whitening is appropriate, helping reduce the risk of sensitivity or gum discomfort during and after the procedure.
Some patients may experience mild, temporary tooth sensitivity during or shortly after whitening. This occurs when whitening agents penetrate the enamel and reach the inner layers of the tooth. Sensitivity usually fades within a few days. Professional whitening options often include desensitizing treatments or adjusted schedules to help keep you comfortable while still achieving effective results.
Teeth whitening is most effective on natural tooth enamel and may not change the color of crowns, veneers, fillings, or bonding. These restorations are designed to match your existing tooth shade and do not respond to whitening agents. Your dentist will review your dental work and recommend options, such as replacing restorations, if color matching is needed after whitening.
Results vary from person to person based on the type and severity of stains, enamel thickness, and overall oral health. Many patients see their teeth brighten by several shades following professional whitening treatment. While outcomes cannot be guaranteed, professional whitening offers more predictable and noticeable results than store-bought products, delivering a cleaner, more natural-looking white smile.
Professional teeth whitening typically provides faster, safer, and more consistent results than over-the-counter products. Store-bought kits often use weaker whitening agents and poorly fitting trays, which can lead to uneven results or gum irritation. Dentist-supervised whitening is customized to your smile, ensuring effective stain removal while protecting your teeth and soft tissues.
